Radiology at the University of Washington
The Department of Radiology at the University of Washington is an academic department providing highly specialized care to patients who need state-of-the-art diagnostic imaging or imaging-guided therapies.
We serve patients at the University of Washington Medical Center, Harborview Medical Center, the VA Medical Center in Seattle, Seattle Children’s Hospital, Seattle Cancer Care Alliance, and many affiliated facilities throughout the Pacific Northwest. With a world-class faculty of subspecialist physicians and scientists, the department is a leader in radiological education and research.
The department offers a top-ranked radiology residency program, post-residency fellowship training in eight disciplines, graduate and post-graduate basic science programs, medical student education, allied health professional training, and continuing medical education for practicing physicians.
With major funding from the National Institutes of Health and other competitive sources, the department has long been a significant contributor to the science and application of biomedical imaging. We invite you to learn who we are and what we do.

Employee Recognition Program Launched
The First Line Leadership Team is pleased to announce the debut of the UW Radiology Employee Recognition Program. Starting November 1, 2008, any and all employees may be nominated for awards based on exemplary contributions to our department. There are four types of award available:

Website Upgrade
UW Radiology Web Services is pleased to announce the imminent release of the updated UW Radiology Website.
The new version of our website will be released Friday, Dec. 5, 2008. The new site will feature a number of improvements, including faster page loads, an improved navigation system, and a new look.
In celebration of the new site, we invite you to joing us at one of the open house events we have scheduled. Monday, Dec. 8 we will be at the University of Washington Medical Center, room RR-202 from 1:30 to 3:30 in the afternoon. Tuesday, Dec. 9 we will be at the Harborview Medical Center in the Nelson Library. We will be serving refreshments and giving guided tours of the new site. Stop on by to say hello!

It is not expected that there will be any interruption in the availability of the website during the upgrade process. However, please note that authors and editors will be unable to add new content or edit existing content while we are upgrading the site database on Friday Dec. 5.
