Mido hits out at FA’s reluctance to tackle Islamophobia

Middlesbrough’s Egyptian striker Mido has hit out at English Football Association’s (FA) handling of Islamophobia in football grounds. For the second consecutive season the FA finds itself under scrutiny following yet more Islamophobic chants by Newcastle United fans. Mido went so far as to suggest the FA’s inaction last year was an “invitation” for repeat abuse on November 29.
